FIVE days until I fly and I can't wait. I'll be leading a photography workshop with Muench Workshops into the Highland of Iceland. One of the many places we will visiting will be Landmannalaugar.
Landmannalaugar is located in the Fjallabak Nature Reserve and is unlike any place I have seen before. No matter which direction you point your camera, a pallet of color and contrast unfolds before you.
Two miles up a mountain face, with switch-back after switch-back, is a location I call Dormers' Saddle-Back. The views from this location are stunning - coupled with a moon rise, well you get the point.
Photo Tip: When doing a pano that has a motion component in it, exposure the frame with motion first, making sure that the motion is captured completely in this frame. After making this exposure, then you can return to the static areas of the image.
About this shot: Aug 2014, Two stitch pano, hand blended. Hasselblad H5D40, HCD35-90mm @40, ISO 100, f/8.0 at 1/30 sec
