Tanzania Safari: Namiri Plains, Day 6

Today was our first full day exploring the endless plains and wide-open spaces of the Serengeti from Namiri Plains Camp. This area of the Serengeti also contains a Yellow-bark acacia tree forest and several water features.

We were out before sunrise and finished our morning shoot before 0800 – we did more before 0800 than most people do all day! It was a successful shoot: we all got fantastic photos of one of the area’s lion prides resting on a series of kopjes.

Shooting data: Hasselblad H5D, 35-90mm at 50mm, ISO 100, f/8.0 @1/500 sec
